The ability to read and to learn and to dip into someone else’s thoughts, let alone their world, is pretty amazing.
This year, I joined a book club and while I pictured a bunch of girls getting together and drinking wine, there are actually more guys in our book club. That and while wine is drank, in between Faulkner and Doyle, we take the time to celebrate more than literature—we celebrate each other via birthdays, job promotions, and even have an off-site meeting i.e. a Book Club Camping Trip.
In light of today, World Book Day, a day recognized to promote reading and learning, I invite you to join a book club in your area. You can find them online through sites like Meetup.com and Eventbrite.com and even GoodReads, and you can attend virtually or in-person.
